GPP Talks at FotoWeekend 2011

To kick off the first day of our FotoWeekend running November 16-19, 2011 we have an exciting free seminar in the Knowledge Village Auditorium starting at 8pm.
 
Featuring two of our all new instructors, Syl Arena and Martin Prihoda will take the stage to share their photography wisdom.  Within each half hour spotlight will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions find out what truly makes these pro's tick.
 
Syl Arena is known widely for three things: his crazy red hair, his best-selling 'Speedliter's Handbook', and for saying "To create interesting light, you have to create interesting shadows." A respected voice in professional photography world, Syl offers multiple workshops over the course of FotoWeekend for a wide range of experience levels.  During the GPP Spotlight seminar, Syl will talk about how he uses light and shadow to shape the personality of the subjects in his portraits.  Tell a story with light in your photography, and learn how to do it right with Syl!

Canadian born Martin Prihoda lives and works as a professional photographer in Mumbai.  With a philosophy deep rooted in Yoga traditions, Martin translates his balanced vision into advertising brilliance, shooting for client giants including Vogue, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar and Nokia.  In his Spotlight seminar, Martin will focus on shooting outdoors with strobes, specifically taking studio-type lighting into very rural and hard to get to places.  Be sure to make it to this Spotlight event, as Martin's two-day FotoWeekend workshops have already sold out!
