Getting Started with Speedlites
Description
Flash photography need not be confusing or frustrating. The keys to shooting great images with flash are: (1) know what your Speedlite can and cannot do for you and (2) get your flash off the top of your camera as quickly as you can. Even if you have just one Speedlite, you can create beautiful images without a load of extra gear.
So, we’ll lay out a foundation of small flash concepts and then quickly build upon them as we explore the many roles that a single Speedlite can play in creating fantastic light. No matter what brand of camera and flash you shoot, you’ll end the day with a head full of new concepts about how to make your flash gear work for you.

You are familiar with aperture, shutter, ISO and understand how these work together to create a correct exposure. You shoot in Aperture or Shutter Priority modes and can use the basic features on your digital camera confidently.
You have no previous experience with lighting equipment. You would like to be introduced the basic lighting terms, concepts and equipment.
You would like more opportunities to practise and consolidate what you already know and also to stretch yourself a little further both creatively and technically.
