Understanding Exposure & the Art of Composition

Price: US$ 215.00

Instructor: Chris Hurtt
Level: Photography - Beginner

Date:
Mar 03, 10   12:00-19:30

Description

So, you have the basic operations of your camera down now. However, you do find yourself being surprised quite often by the way the image looks when it pops up on the LCD.

Why does this look overexposed? Why does this look underexposed? Why is my sky white instead of blue? Are these questions you ask yourself when that image pops up on the LCD screen?

Well, the next step in your photography is to understand how the camera sees light VERY differently from the way you see it! Also, understanding the relationship between aperture, ISO, and shutter speed and the way you can use these individual tools to get the image you see in your mind.

When you grasp these concepts you will know exactly what to do when you want to record a glorious landscape or stop that action dead still at your favourite sports event. The day will leave you with an overwhelming amount of exposure combinations and ways to use your camera that you hadn't even thought of.

On top of all that we will finish the day talking about the top compositional hurdles most photographers come across. AND, we will discuss how to get your creativity flowing. Do you find yourself at a loss for ideas when you have the camera in hand? Do you have ideas that you can't quite seem to execute?

We will cover all of this in an action packed day that will have us discussing in the classroom AND executing behind the camera!

When this ONE day is through you will find yourself bursting with ideas AND that you have the ability to execute them!
