Description
As a 20+ year staff photographer and lighting specialist, David Hobby has many times been called upon to create idea-driven, illustrative photography. Whether food, objects or conceptual illustration, the goal was the same: Conceive a photographic solution, and then execute it -- often on deadline and without a large budget.
In this one-day class, you will spend the morning in discussion about how to conceive and execute ideas for product and illustrative photography. Real world assignments will be used as examples. Emphasis will be on the use of common, small flashes rather than more expensive, powerful lighting gear.
The afternoon will be spent conceiving, and then executing, several demonstration shoots as time allows. Emphasis will be on pre-visualizing, and then executing, an object shot, including demonstrating how to three-dimensional objects with light.
