HP have a Technology Centre on site and this year expert assistance and a range of HP printers and scanners will be available exclusively for GPP workshop students over the four days. This where you will go to print out your best image for the exhibition at the Closing event. A small bank of computer workstations will also be available, loaded with ADOBE software, so that you can perfect your images and upload to the website for critiquing all on site!.
We have lots of opportunities for you to experiment with using lighting equipment in the studio and in the field and you get to use the best equipment there is, BronColor (Tim Flach's studio brand of choice!).

Overview This is only our second year but wait to you see the fantastic workshops and lectures we have planned. Also this year there is loads of free stuff to attend and you won't believe the prizes! You may not be seeing all the improvements if you have visited this site before. Click Ctrl-F5 now. Gulf Photo Event 2006 If you are unsure about the terminology and basic concepts of photography, attend the full day Crash Course that is being held by Souheil Semaan on the 9 th February. We have added this course so you can get the most from the workshops and lectures the following week.
The Workshops All workshops will start with a classroom session. This gives you quality time to learn and understand the theory and ideas behind the workshop topic. Then it is out into the field to practice. Where scheduling allows, for some workshops a small project will be given and you will have a day or so to complete this. You will then return with your best images for a short review and critiquing session. The critiquing session is part of your workshop and there is no additional charge. The locations chosen for many of the GPP 2006 workshops are either in the Media City Free Zone area or in pre-arranged, less public venues. We have done this to avoid wasted time in traffic and the increasing difficulties faced taking photos in public places. Five of our workshops this year will be using professional models. Each photographer will be provided with a model release for stock photography so you have an opportunity to re-coup the cost of the workshop (and more).
