Photo Tours to Japan and Indonesia with Robin Nichols

Robin Nichols based in Sydney, Australia who is a regular visitor and instructor at GPP events will be leading two exciting photography tours to Bali, Indonesia and Central Japan. Robin's a perfect tour leader and brings with him years of experience in photo instruction and anyone who's been lucky to have done a workshop with Robin will appreciate his patience and skill in imparting photography information to all levels.

The photo tours are organised by the University of Sydney who have been running photography tours for a number of years with Robin.  

Capturing the Visual Beauty of Central Japan
29 October – 17 November 2010

Journey with like-minded photo-enthusiasts to some of the most visually stimulating locations in this exciting, unique and often inscrutable country. Learn new photographic tricks and techniques as you tantalise the palate of your five senses and experience firsthand the extraordinary contrasting face and pace of Japan’s spiritual and cultural heartland.

Tour Highlights
* Enjoy ongoing discussions, workshops, group and one-on-one tuition with Robin Nichols
* Explore, by day and by night, old Gion, the most famous of Kyoto’s five geisha districts
* Visit Kyoto’s shimmering Golden Pavilion, set in magnificent gardens, and Miyajima’s massive Vermillion Torii gate, standing proud out in the bay
* Experience the tones and hues of a Japanese autumn in the magical settings of the Japanese Alps and Ohara’s Sanzen-in Temple gardens
* Take a visually stunning boat ride down the Hozugawa River 
* Spend a night in the peace and tranquillity of a Buddhist temple lodging in Koya-san
