FotoWeekend 2010 - Featured Instructor: Bert Stephani
So, as we countdown to FotoWeekend 2010 which will be a four day event comprising of photography workshops, seminars and talks, we will be profiling all the instructors who will be attending the event.
Kicking this off is Bert Stephani who we're really pleased to welcome to Dubai for the first time. Bert is a Belgian photographer who shoots portraiture, commercial and corporate assignments but refuses to specialize in any one genre because working in different fields challenges him and helps to make him a better photographer. Bert likes to play with light, location, gear and talent.
Bert is also known for his enthusiasm for sharing information and insights and frequently produces online and video tutorials which aren't only very informative but also very entertaining. Like this YouTube video he produced to show how to make quick portraits in ambient light below:
It was this passion for teaching and sharing coupled with his very fresh aesthetic that had us calling Bert to come down and be part of the FotoWeekend event.
Bert will be teaching a number of workshops at FotoWeekend on using small flashes as well as a first-time ever shooting guerilla style where participants go on-location armed with 1 camera, 1 lens and 1 flash which will force them to think outside the box and challenge their creativity which will be an ideal workshop for editorial, wedding, travel and event shooters.
