TimeOut PhotoFriday | Friday, March 5
If you're not able to get time off work during the week or can't make it, then be sure to come out to PhotoFriday where you can enjoy any of 16 fantastic and information-packed talks, seminars and panels for all levels.

In addition to the 12 visiting photographers, we will also be welcoming some local photographers to the fray: Clint McLean, photographer and photo editor for the capital's National M magazine will be part of the panel of the Make it Happen: Overcoming Photography Obstacles and Brian Kerrigan, Photo Editor of the National will be part of the panel looking at the emergence of video as a new force in photography. And last but not least, Hind Mezaina: photographer and UAE's Lomography Ambassador will be hosting a talk on Lomography and the Diana cameras and will also be encouraging participants to shoot during the session.

In the Blink of an Eye Exhibition
Dubai Community Arts & Theatre Centre

Opening Night: 7:30pm Feb 28, 2010

This group exhibition at the Gallery of Light at the Dubai Community Arts & Theatre Centre (DUCTAC) at the Mall of the Emirates will feature works by the following visiting photographers: Joey L, David Nightingale, Joe McNally, Steve Simon, Melissa Rodwell and Zack Arias. The opening will be held at 7pm on Feb 28th and will be open to all and a great chance to see some amazing work as well as meet the photographers behind it.

GPP Shoot-Off
Saturday, Mar 6, 2010 - 6pm | Dubai Knowledge Village Auditorium

This first ever event of its kind will see a shoot-off between a few of the visiting photographers who will be alloted 30mins to shoot a portrait and they will only find out who their model is at the time. Entry is free of charge and open to all and keep tuning in the Special Events page for more information.
